Level 2 Swimming Instructor Vacancies in Liverpool

Your role as a Swimming Instructor will be to manage the safe and effective operation of swimming lessons for children and adults in groups or on a one-to-one basis. You should provide high level of energy, fun and inclusive sessions, ensuring every child is engaged and makes progress, regardless of their ability.

We are looking for individuals that are friendly, have excellent communication skills, be a positive role model with a very approachable personality and have a talent for teaching that meets an individual swimmer’s requirements.

Swimming instructors working at Star Swimming Academy Ltd must:

• hold and maintain either a Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification, a STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming or a STA Award in Teaching Swimming,
• have a current pool rescue & first aid qualification, for example National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), STA Pool Lifeguard Qualification, a STA Safety Award for Instructors or a National Rescue Award for Swimming Instructors and Coaches (NRASTC),
• have a current membership to either the IoS or STA,
• be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS) check or be cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults. If you do not have a current Enhanced DBS check in place, we can apply for this on your behalf. However, you will be required to pay for this.
