We are now on our third block and poppy is swimming independently thanks to Laura!

The support they give our daughter and us is out of this world! They are like another family to us and go above and beyond on a weekly basis. They listen, help and make a massive difference. The relationships Rebecca and Julie form with parents are incredible. Such positive and professional staff which is lovely. The encouragement they’ve given Isabelle from refusing to get in the pool a year ago when she used to sit with me at poolside to developing her into a confident swimmer has been unreal. Julie is only ever a call away and nothing is ever too much. Isabelle has additional needs but her teachers Owen and Peter do everything to support her and help her achieve so so much. They “get” her and they approach neuro diversity with such enthusiasm and encouragement it’s brilliant. The lessons are full of fun and she loves every minute, and counts down the days til the next lesson. I can’t recommend this swimming academy enough - just brilliant, absolutely brilliant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  my daughter has been swimming with star swimming academy for over 4 years. she swims with the amazing Julie starting... read more with one to one lessons and now in a group. The progress my daughter has made in the pool is immense she has so much confidence and can swim a number of strokes independently. The whole team are fantastic when you look around d the pool all the children are full of smiles and you can see that everyone of them clearly enjoys their lessons. It will be a sad day in my house when my daughter no longer has swimming lessons.

I can’t thank Peter enough for what he does for Williams confidence and his swimming ability shocks us week on week all because Peter believes in him and brings out the best in him. He is just a fabulous teacher who brings out the best in all the Children. Julie is an absolute star too every time I’ve communicated with the academy she’s just been outstanding and always gives us the warmest welcome every single week. And Sean who teaches my younger son is just amazing with the Children but has created a bond with James who now trusts him so much to allow himself to relax and enjoy learning to swim. He’s a different child in the water to a couple of months ago and that’s all down to Sean. Thank you to everyone involved. You are truly amazing all of you ? xxx

  I would like to share my appreciation for Julie at Star Swim for her patience, understanding, care and humour. My... read more daughters have really struggled going back to swimming after lockdown and the changes that they have experienced as a result made them highly anxious and getting them in the pool was a huge stress. Julie has been so accommodating and dealt with the girls to resolve their fears and stress and has used her magic to get them both in the pool and made them feel great after every lesson. It hasn’t been a one off occasion that Julie has had to help me, it’s most weeks and taking the girls swimming can be stressful but as soon as they are in the pool it’s worth it. Their swimming has improved and they are challenging themselves and improving each week, it makes me so proud. Thank you Julie for everything you really are a star ⭐️

  Had a great experience from first enquiring to having my lessons. I only managed to have half my booked lessons... read more due to a shoulder injury but as an adult swimmer trying to get better, Mike helped me really understand the basics around swimming and Julie was lovely helping me get it all booked in. Will hopefully get around to booking more when my shoulder is better. Would recommend for any adults looking for improve their swimming.

Joshuas only had 4 lessons (first ever swimming lessons) and already got 3 badges on the way. At 7 years old and having been to lots of activities, football, boxing, martial arts, beavers etc he has never engaged so enthusiastically with so much love for his swimming and going to see his swim teacher every week. The teachers are awesome and make it 100% fun. You run a brilliant swim school I’m so glad we found you lovely bunch of people.. thank you ☺️ ??‍♂️

Both my little girls love their lessons and Julie has done wonders to get them both alternative lessons following school/gym closures etc. I can't believe how hard you all work - I get responses to emails almost immediately 7 days a week. I have swam laps beside his classes for years and have watched how he has transformed countless nervous children into confident swimmers who clearly love their lessons. He and his team build a great relationship with children and parents which just inspires confidence. The squad push and cajole and make lessons seem great fun getting the best out of the children. My youngest benefitted enormously from his coaching and he encouraged her into club swimming. She still talks about him and he asks after her 5 years since she stopped lessons. He’s just that sort of genuine friendly caring person who is really committed to, and interested in, all his pupils. Even as a strong swimmer myself, I’ve had lessons to improve my technique from him. I have to say that it’s hard work. You go in thinking Im not bad, he tells you are just that. Not bad. Then also points out through a few exercises that you are not good and need to improve and then he makes sure you do!!! If you are a serious swimmer you’ll get worked as hard as you want and beyond ?. But that’s really what you want. I’ve watched him with adult beginners and improvers although much less often. He shows lots of patience, encouragement and they all seem to leave the pool smiling every week. With them he seems to just sense the right support and pace for them as individuals. This seems important to me. Im not sure how busy he is but if he’s got a waiting list it’s worth waiting. ?????

  My daughter is 10yrs old and has been having lessons with Simone at Escape Zone, Leigh. We have been to... read more a couple of other places but due to my daughter being a very nervous swimmer had to stop and look elsewhere. She has grown massively in confidence and is really coming along brilliantly with her swimming. Simone makes the lessons fun and enjoyable and my daughter looks forward to her lessons every week. I high recommend If anyone is looking at lessons and a big thank you to Simone for all your help x
