STAR SWIMMING ACADEMY

Founded in 2004 by Will Kildare, the Star Swimming Academy operates from venues in Liverpool, Sefton and Ormskirk.

Will started in the ‘learn to swim’ industry 31 years ago as a swimming teacher and never looked back, now the owner of one of the best and most popular learn to swim academies in Merseyside and the North West.

Will in himself, is a sought after swimming teacher. His style is well known and many national and international sports personalities from the world of football, tennis, gymnastics, boxing, horse riding, cricket, golf, and swimming have used Will to instil the love of the pool to their children.

Today you will still find him in the pool, teaching children and adults alike; along with mentoring the next generation of swimming instructors in the Star Swimming Academy.

The Star Swimming Academy has also been involved in several TV and Film productions by providing swimming scenes, doubles and extras for local TV and film makers.

Years Experience

THE STAR SWIMMING ACADEMY is now owned and managed by long standing instructor Peter Donnelly .

Peter is well loved by all and is taking the opportunity to carry on the STAR SWIMMING ACADEMY ethos whilst bringing his own new fantastic and fresh ideas .

The Academy has a full programme of swimming lessons for pre-schoolers, juniors and adults, from absolute beginners to more advanced stroke development including competitive swimming and life saving courses. Lessons are given as a group, one-to-one or two-to-one. It’s developed a unique and fun style of learning to many individuals lives and empowers them to be confident in and out of the water.

It has instructed thousand’s of individuals since it’s conception and has many current active members of all ages enjoying the delights of the pool and our fun based instruction.

The Academy also specialises in lessons for individuals with special needs and has provided services to schools specialising in children with disabilities/special needs, local community groups, national and international charities.

The Star Swimming Academy is also the main service provider for learn to swim instruction for numerous schools in Merseyside and Cheshire and P.E sessions covering all types of schools during teacher’s PPA time, along with being providers for half-term multi-sport camps during the school holiday for primary schools in Merseyside.
