Everyone within the Star Swimming Academy has a passion for what they do for the children and adults who come to join us in our swimming sessions. In addition to this we have a great passion and commitment to supporting local groups, charities, youth groups, clubs and any number of individuals.

Over the years the Star Swimming Academy has supported many good causes in and out of the pool. Below are two official charities that the Star Swimming Academy supports:

Walking With Giants Foundation

The Walking with Giants Foundation is a Liverpool based charity (Charity No: 1123246), set up to support and enrich the lives of individuals and families from the UK and around the world who have Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism.

They provide support and encouragement to these individuals and their families in any way which is charitable and endeavour to eliminate all the stigma, mystery and any discrimination towards the disorder by promoting a positive attitude.

The Walking with Giants is not Government Funded and rely on public donations to help them achieve their aims and objectives.

Autism In Motion

Autism in Motion is a parent led group, that is run by three parents Jo, Hannah and Terri. They all have children with Autism and SENd.

They believe in empowering parents one child at a time. They provide support, guidance and advice for parents/carers of children on the Autistic Spectrum, pre and post diagnosis. They also provide access to various activities for the children to enhance their social, mental and general well-being.

They realised parents need support from others who understand what it is like having a child with Autism but also how it is difficult to access activities for children within the Autistic Spectrum.
